Lesson 22 of 28
Your Identity in Christ
Replace shame and false labels with the truth of who believers are in Jesus.
Accepted by grace
Our deepest identity is not built on success, failure, appearance, or other people’s opinions. Believers are accepted in Christ.
Where to read: Ephesians 1:1–14.
Ephesians 1:6“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”
Adopted into God’s family
Through Christ we are no longer spiritual outsiders. God receives us as His children.
Where to read: Romans 8:14–17.
Romans 8:15“Ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
Created for good works
Grace gives us both a new identity and a new purpose. God prepares meaningful ways for us to serve.
Where to read: Ephesians 2:8–10.
Ephesians 2:10“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.”
