Worshiping God

God is worthy
We worship because of who God is and what He has done. Worship directs our attention and affection toward Him.
Where to read: Psalm 95.
Psalm 95:6“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”
Spirit and truth
True worship is sincere and shaped by the truth God has revealed, not limited to a building or musical style.
Where to read: John 4:19–24.
John 4:24“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
A living sacrifice
Worship includes singing and prayer, but it also includes offering our everyday lives to God.
Where to read: Romans 12:1–2.
Romans 12:1“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
