Lesson 24 of 28
Work, Money, and Stewardship
Honor God with time, abilities, work, possessions, generosity, and contentment.
Everything belongs to God
We are managers, not ultimate owners. Our time, bodies, abilities, opportunities, and possessions are entrusted by God.
Where to read: Psalm 24 and Matthew 25:14–30.
Psalm 24:1“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
Work for the Lord
Honest work can honor God whether it is paid, unpaid, public, or unnoticed.
Where to read: Colossians 3:22–24.
Colossians 3:23“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Practice generosity and contentment
Money is a tool, not a master. God calls us to wise planning, generous giving, and freedom from greed.
Where to read: 2 Corinthians 8–9.
2 Corinthians 9:7“God loveth a cheerful giver.”
