Lesson 27 of 28
Trials and Perseverance
Learn how to trust God, seek help, and keep following Jesus during suffering.
Trials are real
Following Jesus does not remove every hardship. Believers experience grief, injustice, sickness, loss, and uncertainty.
Where to read: John 16:25–33.
John 16:33“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
God works through hardship
God can use trials to deepen endurance, character, wisdom, compassion, and hope without calling evil good.
Where to read: James 1:2–8.
James 1:3“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
Do not walk alone
Bring pain honestly to God, receive support from others, and remember that nothing can separate believers from Christ’s love.
Where to read: Romans 8:18–39.
Romans 8:39“Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.”
