Temptation and Spiritual Battles
Recognize temptation and learn how God helps believers stand firm.
Temptation is common
Being tempted is not the same as choosing sin. Every believer faces temptation, and Jesus understands our weakness.
Where to read: Hebrews 4:14–16.
Hebrews 4:15“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
God provides a way out
God is faithful. He limits temptation and provides a way to endure without sinning.
Where to read: 1 Corinthians 10:12–13.
1 Corinthians 10:13“God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape.”
Use spiritual weapons
Stand in truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, Scripture, and prayer. Resist the devil while drawing near to God.

Ephesians 6:11“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
